I caught Brendan Fraser's "With Honors" this morning on HBO.
I'm still watching it now, actually.
It's the perfect movie to see when you're in the middle of an intellectual or a creative rut, or perhaps, when you are searching for a new purpose in life - after a quarter of yours has passed.
Aside from the inspiration, I got to see Patrick Dempsey with big hair!
It's a good Saturday morning.

I’ve been telling some friends lately --- actually, it’s more of a rant:
I’m losing my religion.
The monotony of office work is slowly but surely killing the artiste (wannabe) in me.
I stopped painting.
I stopped writing poetry.
I stopped fantasizing about being a stylist or a make-up artist in
I stopped listening to indie music.
I stopped doing anything creative because what used to be a conducive thinking environment for me became a claustrophobic cell void of life and color.
A few days ago, Andoy, Malee and I visited Fully Booked to get a vista of the new graphic novels and bestsellers.
I was so ecstatic to see that Tria by Letraset is now available and widely distributed by Fully Booked!
I am a child jumping with joy!
I feel nothing but glee.
Tria by Letraset is a 3-in-1 marker with different tips so you can use them for writing, coloring, sketching and drawing.
Think of any color imaginable – Tria has it!
It sells for P150 a piece.
But wait! There’s more!
Tria by Letraset can also be purchased in a pack of 24. They have packs for Interior Design, Architecture, Product Design, Illustration, Manga Drawing – what-have-you.
I particularly like the set for Fashion Design and Sketching. It sells for around P3k, I think.
I went back to Fully Booked again to just ogle at my new eye candies.
Sigh.
I can buy them now along with my new favorite Jordi Labanda books – but I’d like them to be a reward for myself.
I’m buying Tria by Letraset and more Jordi Labanda notebooks once I finish the phase 1 work plan for Project Superfly.
For that – career na ito!

It’s still worth doing.
And although the cost is front-loaded, the long-term benefits are something that even the next generation will experience.
These are two of my most recent earth-friendly purchases:
1. Lock & Lock lunch box
When we’re uber busy in the office, my team gets our lunch in our usual cafeteria at the upper ground floor. For take-outs, they use Styrofoam packaging and plastic utensils.
For months now, it’s been an active effort in our group to bring our own food containers when we order in any of the cafeterias in the building – thus the popularity of Lock & Lock and Biokips food containers.
I bought my own lunch box containing 3 square Lock & Locks with partitioning and a thermal bag. So cute!
The whole thing cost me P700+ though.
2. Schick Intuition Plus Sensitive
A disposable plastic razor does not last for even a month! Imagine how many plastic razors we buy and throw out every year!
Cosmopolitan suggested that we invest in refillable razors for women. At least, we minimize the plastics we throw out.
I bought myself a Schick Intuition Plus Sensitive when I did my grocery shopping last Sunday. I even bought refills for it already.
The ergonomics of the razor is really meant for the ladies. Galing!
The Schick Intuition is around P300 bucks for the razor and P255 for a refill of 3, with moisturizers.
Next on my to-do list: buy more organic stuff! I'm so looking forward to going to the organic market in Tordesillas!
